PES Congress: Budapest 12-13 June

The Party of European Socialists (PES) held the 10th PES Congress in Budapest on 12 and 13 June. The 2015 Congress set the course of action for European progressives during the coming decisive years, re-electing the PES President and adopting strong resolutions on democracy, peace and jobs.

Almost a thousand participants and several European Leaders descended on Budapest in a strong display of solidarity with MSZP leader Jozsef Tobias. They met together to discuss job creation, investment and the future of social democracy in Europe.

PES Women Annual Conference

On the 11 and 12 of June, PES Women held its Annual Conference "Power to Women", including interactive debates, quizzes, presentations and the adoption of the resolution on 'Feminism in the 21st Century'. On the first of the conference, Zita Gurmai was re-elected as head of PES Women.
