Katarína Neved'alová is a Slovak politician and diplomat. Former Member of the European Parliament (2009-2014), she has been focusing on the subjects of youth and education since the university.
Katarína was elected in several positions in youth NGOs, among them the Vice-President of the Young Social Democrats in Slovakia (2006-2013), Vice-President of the Young European Socialists (2009-2011), Vice-President of the European Youth Forum (2011-2012). In 2012 she was elected as one of the Vice-Presidents of the Party of European Socialists and was re-elected in 2015.
Concerning foreign policy, Katarína's work focuses on the cooperation with the Eastern Partners and Central Asia. In 2010 she led the election observation mission of the European Parliament to Kyrgyzstan, the first one after the civil war.
At present, Katarína Neved'alová is serving as senior diplomat at the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic to the EU in Brussels and also works as Head of the International Department of SMER - Social Democracy in Slovakia.
