The rally comes three weeks ahead of the European elections. Mr. Stanishev tops the list for BSP.
Speaking to the rally Mr. Stanishev called on supporters to; “ensure that every effort was made to maximise turnout. Referencing the PES Europe wide ‘knock the vote’ campaign’, he urged activists to get into neighbourhoods and communities and go door to door explaining why these elections were so important”.
The rally came a week after PES candidate for European Commission President Martin Schulz made a highly successful trip to Sofia
