PES launches Training Academy for central & eastern Europe

More than 20 activists and local leaders from Hungary attended the first edition of the PES Training Academy for Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest.

The new programme was established to train many more members of the PES than has previously been possible.
Marije Laffeber, PES deputy secretary general, said:
"We train the best people in our member parties. PES trainers visit our member parties, and we provide interpretation for local languages to engage even more people -- which makes this project unique and adapted to the needs of each party."
More editions of the training academy are planned for upcoming months in almost 10 countries, as practical help to preare fore the European elections in 2019.
