PSOE, PES and PES Women livestream

Socialists and democrats from across Europe will take part in an online discussion on Saturday (21 November) focused on action to end gender-based violence.

The livestream - Progressives against gender-based violence - will feature Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo, European Commissioner Helena Dalli, PES President Sergei Stanishev, S&D President Iratxe García, PES Women President Zita Gurmai, PSOE Deputy Leader Adriana Lastra and other leading progressives.

Two panel discussions (in English) and a roundtable (in Spanish) will examine how socialists and democrats can strengthen awareness raising, support legal frameworks to uphold human rights worldwide, extend European cooperation to promote equality and justice, and encourage intergenerational action to end gender-based violence.

Follow the discussion live on Saturday 21 November at 10:00 CET in English on the PES Facebook page or live in Spanish on the PSOE YouTube channel.

Find out more about the livestream on the Facebook event page.

The event – an initiative of PES member party PSOE and supported by PES Women and the PES - takes places ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November) and a PES Women online conference (8 December), which will also focus on combatting gender-based violence in the framework of the UN 16 days of activism.
