08/10/2018 PES: Romanian people proved they stand for equality
The Party of European Socialists is pleased that marriage equality will continue to be enshrined in the Romanian Constitution, after the referendum to amend it failed. The voter’s turnout of 21% was too low for the referendum to be valid.
01/10/2018 PES hopes that Macedonian Parliament will respect the result of the referendum
The Party of European Socialists notes that an overwhelming majority of Macedonian voters said ‘yes’ to the European future of the country in yesterday’s referendum and expects Macedonian parliament to further work for it. Unfortunately, the referendum failed to meet the minimum participation of 50%.
